Straight No Chase - A Jazz Show

This year's singer is Donna Singer backed by the Doug  Richards Trio from her Kiss Me Beneath the Mistletoe CD.

"Take The Day Off: An amazing Harlem performance by Donna & Doug...Donna Singer, aptly named, sang her heart out while Billy worked his magic on the keys and Doug and Mike kept up a jazzy groove. The performers are clearly professionals with a lot of experience and love for what they do. Their stage presence and musical consistency made the show a pleasant experience that jazz lovers shouldn't miss." ~Nicholas Gauthier,

'This Moment Of Now' video is in rotation on MTV, VH1 and BET

Growing up in New York's Catskill Mountains in a family of jazz enthusiasts, She and her twin sister, Dawn, were raised into a family of jazz enthusiasts who listened to the music of Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson, Thelonius Monk, Sammy Davis Jr., Count Basie, Lena Horne, and many other great jazz artists.  So it was no surprise that she evolved into a powerful jazz vocalist whose music is circulating around the globe from South America, North America, Europe, Australia, and Africa.  Her newest CD, “Destiny, Moment of Jazz” has joined her last three albums as a notable force in the jazz world.  The European Jazz Network embraced her rendition of the Gershwin favorite, “But Not for Me”, as well as jazz stations in the Netherlands, UK, and Germany. Her European Work Permit Application is in process and under review. International Jazz Festivals here we come!!

A graduate of the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts, Donna has had formal training at the Julliard School and has kept music close to her heart. She established Dr. Donna's School of Song where aspiring musicians can begin their journey in the world of music. She shares her gift with young and adult students by providing mentoring and training in piano and voice. She is a member of The National Guild of Piano Teachers:  Teachers Division of American College of Musicians since June 26, 2006.  The Singers have recently moved to West Palm Beach from the lush Catskill Mountains. They have one son, Christopher.
